Basketball Game Preview: San Carlos Braves vs. Miami Vandals

The San Carlos Braves will challenge the Miami Vandals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

San Carlos came up short against Pima on Friday, falling 70-46. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Roughriders: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Miami took a blow against San Tan Charter on Friday, falling 118-41. While losing is never fun, the Vandals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Roadrunners are ranked 53rd).

San Carlos' loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Miami, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season.

San Carlos took their victory against Miami in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 71-50. Does San Carlos have another victory up their sleeve, or will Miami turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
