Volleyball Recap: Jonesville Takes a Loss

Jonesville had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 6-6-1 to make it four. They lost 3-0 to the Madison Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Payton Nichelson paced Jonesville's offense, picking up seven kills. Nichelson got some help from Olivia Babcock and her 12 assists. Sadie Broesamle controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

As for Madison, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Among those leading the charge was Jazlyn Zaszczurynski, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Jonesville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Manchester on the 9th. As for Madison, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Hillsdale on the 9th.
