Basketball Game Preview: Altavista Colonels vs. Dan River Wildcats

The Altavista Colonels will venture away from home to take on the Dan River Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Altavista lost 83-62 to Gretna on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Colonels in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Dan River was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 61-55 to Nelson County.

Dan River's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Altavista, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
