Soccer Game Preview: Granite Hills vs. Strathmore

The Granite Hills Grizzlies will head out to take on the Strathmore Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Strathmore will have to contend with a Granite Hills team hungry for a win, something the squad hasn't seen since January 15. Granite Hills came up short against Lindsay on Friday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 741st, while the Cardinals are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in January, Strathmore was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. They and Corcoran finished up their match with a 2-2 draw.

Strathmore's draw gives them a new season record of 8-11-6. As for Granite Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-2.

Granite Hills came up short against Strathmore in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 3-1. Can Granite Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
