Volleyball Recap: California Takes a Loss

California was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the La Serna Lancers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While California was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into La Serna's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-13, 25-14.

California's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for La Serna, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. California will square off against rival Santa Fe at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, La Serna is set to challenge their familiar foe Whittier at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
