Softball Recap: Taft Eagles vs. Northside Mustangs
Taft can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They never let the Northside Mustangs onto the board and left with a 16-0 win. The victory was nothing new for Taft as they're now sitting on four straight.
Elena Gonzalez and Joselyn Ulloa did most of the damage at the plate: Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple, while Ulloa scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Moussa, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
Taft's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. As for Northside, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taft will challenge Prospect at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
