Softball Recap: Elyria Catholic Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Elyria Catholic is still undefeated this season after their match against Holy Name on Tuesday, but Holy Name came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Green Wave 7-5. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Green Wave, too.

Harper Morgan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jessica Conner was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Lillian Ciryak was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
