Softball Recap: Buchholz Takes a Loss

Buchholz managed to slip by Leon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bobcats lost 16-6 to the Lions on Saturday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2017.

Quaniyah Robinson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Kylee Wilson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Buchholz has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Leon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buchholz will square off against Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hurricanes have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Leon, they will challenge Altha at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
