 Granite Hills scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Steele Canyon Cougars with a sharp  23-5 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  victory of the  season.
  Rowan Haynes led a balanced Eagles bullpen and   tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   six  hits. Haynes has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Tommy Entrekin was a standout: he went 4-for-6 with seven  RBI, two  doubles,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Trevor Smith, who  scored five  runs while going 4-for-5.
 On Steele Canyon's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Greyson Tamborski, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Gabe Celaya, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Granite Hills has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight games,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record  this season. As for Steele Canyon, they are  on  a  17-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-20.
 Granite Hills will head out on the road to  face off against  Helix at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Granite Hills' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9  runs per game  this season, so Helix's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Steele Canyon, they will head out on the road to  take on  Grossmont at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Grossmont is coming into the  contest with five straight  defeats at home,  meaning Steele Canyon will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win.
