Baseball Recap: Evansville Bosse Wins Going Away Against Crothersville

13 must be Evansville Bosse's lucky number: they beat Crothersville with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Bulldogs blew past the Tigers 13-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Devin Henry made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Mi'Kel Green and Jaxon Klass did most of the damage at the plate: Green went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles, while Klass got on base in all three of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. What's more, Green posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Drew Curtis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Evansville Bosse always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Evansville Bosse's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Crothersville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
