Basketball Preview: McIntosh Chiefs vs. Morrow Mustangs
The McIntosh Chiefs and the Morrow Mustangs will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
McIntosh fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Northgate on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Vikings 53-47. While the Chiefs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 14-7 in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, Morrow hadn't done well against Lovejoy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Morrow simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lovejoy 73-14. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 25 points or more this season.
McIntosh's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Morrow, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
