Basketball Preview: Odyssey Charter School Titans vs. West Shore Wildcats
The Odyssey Charter School Titans will face off against the West Shore Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Odyssey Charter School had to settle for a 55-53 defeat against the Lions.
Despite the loss, Odyssey Charter School saw an underclassman step up: Malik Brown dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Ephram Welsh was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, West Shore came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over Space Coast on Thursday. The win was just what West Shore needed coming off of a 60-25 loss in their prior game.
Odyssey Charter School dropped their record down to 7-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for West Shore, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
Odyssey Charter School was dealt a bruising 73-23 defeat at the hands of the Wildcats when the teams last played back in February of 2018. Thankfully for Odyssey Charter School, Tony Hedrick (who scored 45 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
