Basketball Game Preview: McCurdy Bobcats vs. Cimarron Rams

The McCurdy Bobcats will venture away from home to square off against the Cimarron Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. McCurdy will be strutting in after a win while Cimarron will be coming in after a defeat.

McCurdy was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Santa Fe Prep two weeks ago. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Blue Griffins with a sharp 46-26 victory. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Cimarron has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The game between the Rams and Mesa Vista didn't end well, with the Rams falling 74-56. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

McCurdy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Cimarron, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

McCurdy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cimarron in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, but they still walked away with a 55-49 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
