Softball Game Preview: Two Harbors Agates vs. Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels

Two Harbors hasn't had much luck against Moose Lake/Willow River recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Agates will head out to face off against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. Two Harbors has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Two Harbors is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Ely, falling 17-0.

Meanwhile, Moose Lake/Willow River entered their tilt with Cherry on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Moose Lake/Willow River's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Two Harbors, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Two Harbors might still be hurting after the 15-1 defeat they got from Moose Lake/Willow River when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Agates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
