Baseball Recap: McGuffey Victorious

McGuffey won the last time they faced Fort Cherry and things went their way on Thursday too. The Highlanders skirted past the Rangers 10-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.

The team relied heavily on Austin Johnson, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Wyatt Hildreth also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

McGuffey now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Fort Cherry, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McGuffey will host Charleroi at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Cherry, they will be playing at home against Frazier at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
