Aptos had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They blew past the Scotts Valley Falcons 5-1. The result was nothing new for the Mariners, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

Aptos pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. As for Scotts Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which lines up perfectly with their 0-8 record this season.
