Softball Recap: Oldham-Ramona/R Starts Season with Win Against Parker

Oldham-Ramona/R gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 23-7 margin over the Parker Pheasants.

Oldham-Ramona/R got a massive performance out of Gabby Pickard, who scored four runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave Pickard a new career-high. Brookelyn Riedel was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Oldham-Ramona/R was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .636. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in six consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
