Recap: Cascade Cadets vs. South Putnam Eagles
The Cascade Cadets won against the South Putnam Eagles last Saturday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Cascade put the hurt on South Putnam with a sharp 65-40 victory. Winning may never get old, but Cascade sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Cascade found their leader in underclassman Toby Savini, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Savini has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Sanders, who scored 11 points along with six assists and three blocks.
South Putnam lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cam Bozell, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Mullin, who scored seven points.
The victory got Cascade back to even at 6-6. As for South Putnam, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Herron at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Herron is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home. As for South Putnam, they will head out on the road to square off against Dugger Union at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
