Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Comes Up Short

Edgewood lost against Kettle Moraine Lutheran back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Crusaders fell 2-0 to the Chargers. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Edgewood ultimately came up short, they really made Kettle Moraine Lutheran work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-21.

Brynn Doehla paced Edgewood's offense, picking up six kills. Doehla got some help from Addie Oeth and her 18 assists. Oeth was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-5.

Edgewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lakeside Lutheran on the 13th. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against New Berlin West on the 13th.
