Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Santa Anna's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

If Blanket wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Santa Anna, they should've done a better job of containing Kamyn Hale. The Santa Anna Mountaineers escaped with a win on Tuesday against the Blanket Tigers by the margin of a single free throw, 46-45 thanks in part to Hale, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 11 rebounds. Her evening made it 13 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Santa Anna has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Blanket, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Rising Star the next time they take the court. Santa Anna will host Rising Star at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Blanket will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 28th.
