Basketball Recap: Beechcroft Takes a Loss

Beechcroft lost against Whetstone back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Beechcroft Cougars were dealt a 59-30 loss at the hands of the Whetstone Braves. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whetstone to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caniya Woods, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards. Woods is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Catherine Pierce was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.

Beechcroft now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Whetstone, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Beechcroft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-33 defeat against Linden-McKinley on the 24th. Whetstone has also already played their next match, a 69-49 victory against Northland on the 24th.
