Soccer Game Preview: Lopez vs. Orcas Island

Lopez is 1-9 against Orcas Island since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lobos will host the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. This will be Lopez's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Lopez is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Friday Harbor, who was ranked third at the time (Lopez was ranked seventh). The Lobos fell 3-1 to the Wolverines on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Lopez couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Orcas Island put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They never let Mount Vernon Christian get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Orcas Island might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six goals or more this season.

Orcas Island's victory bumped their record up to 9-0-1. As for Lopez, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
