Volleyball Recap: Lithonia Takes a Loss

Lithonia lost against Miller Grove back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell 2-0 to the Wolverines.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Miller Grove scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17.

Miller Grove got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Payton Black out in front who had three aces. Black is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor-Raye Evering, who had six assists and three aces.

Lithonia's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Miller Grove, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Lithonia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Cedar Grove on the 9th. As for Miller Grove, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Cross Keys on the 9th.
