Volleyball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bloomfield lost against Shiprock back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Chieftains by a score of 3-2.

Bloomfield started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 27-29, 25-21, 25-19, 15-9.

Kailani Mariano paced Bloomfield's offense, picking up 20 kills. Mariano got some help from Delanna Russell and her 26 assists. Sophia Gallegos and Tiana Williamson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Shiprock, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Bloomfield will host Aztec at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Shiprock, they will take on Kirtland Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
