Softball Recap: East Pennsboro Drops Season-High Score on Harrisburg

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Pennsboro). They were the clear victors by a 25-0 margin over the Harrisburg Cougars on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

East Pennsboro's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Harrisburg, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, East Pennsboro will square off against Middletown at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrisburg, they will take on Trinity at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Trinity's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Harrisburg's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
