Baseball Recap: South Beauregard Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

South Beauregard proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by eight) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the St. Louis Catholic Saints 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win was the third in a row for South Beauregard, bringing their record up to 14-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Louis Catholic, they moved to 10-16 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, South Beauregard will take on Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westlake's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so South Beauregard's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
