Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buna). They took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 75-24 win over the Sterling Raiders. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their 25-point performance the contest before.

Buna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kelsey Burton, who went 7 of 13 en route to 16 points and three steals. Those three steals gave Burton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madisyn Cotten, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Buna was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sterling only racked up two assists.

Despite the loss, Sterling still got an impressive performance from Destiny Lewis, who posted 18 points and four steals. That was a full 75% of Sterling's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Buna has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Sterling, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Buna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-40 victory against Lee on the 27th. As for Sterling, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 37-32 defeat against Wheatley on the 26th.
