It's playoff time, and Palmer Ridge had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 45-27 victory over the Broomfield Eagles on Saturday. The Bears' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Palmer Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zak Crisler, who picked up 80 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 65 yards and one score. Crisler showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards. Jackson Mabe was in the mix too, providing Palmer Ridge with two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Palmer Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 321 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Broomfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Slater Saunders, who threw for 304 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 44 yards and a pair of scores. Kashus Clarvoe was another key back, gaining 211 total yards.

Palmer Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Broomfield, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Palmer Ridge will square off against Montrose at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bears 9.4, the Red Hawks 8.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Broomfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
