With a playoff win on the line, Hollins rose to the challenge on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the St. Petersburg Green Devils. This was a revenge game for the Royals: when they faced off against the Green Devils back in March, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Hollins saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley McDonald, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI McDonald has posted since back in February.

Hollins' record now sits at 9-14. As for St. Petersburg, they dropped their record down to 8-14-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Hollins will take on Braden River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Pirates have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. St. Petersburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
