Baseball Recap: Bartlett Yancey Comes Up Short

Clover Garden School hit Bartlett Yancey with a seven-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Buccaneers lost 11-4 to the Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Bartlett Yancey and nudges their season record down to 5-12. As for Clover Garden School, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.

Coming up, Bartlett Yancey will venture away from home to square off against Seaforth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Clover Garden School, they will welcome Triangle Math & Science at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
