Volleyball Recap: Assabet Valley RVT Takes a Loss

Assabet Valley RVT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Southbridge Pioneers. While the Aztecs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pioneers 25-17 in the first set.

Assabet Valley RVT actually scored more points across those four sets (96-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-23.

Assabet Valley RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Southbridge, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Assabet Valley RVT will welcome Fitchburg at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southbridge, they will take on Advanced Math & Science Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
