Long Island Lutheran put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Pinewood Panthers with a sharp 77-56 victory.

Pinewood's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jolyn Ding, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Ding has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Vallory Kuelker, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 14 points.

Long Island Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pinewood, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Long Island Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Etiwanda at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Long Island Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Pinewood, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Pinewood Panthers duke it out with the Evergreen Valley Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on December 21st. Pinewood has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three contests.
