Volleyball Game Preview: Webster Tigers vs. Clear Lake Warriors

The Webster Tigers will challenge the Clear Lake Warriors on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Webster sitting on four straight victories and Clear Lake on 16.

Webster is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Shell Lake as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Clear Lake posted their closest victory since August 30th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Spring Valley, sneaking past 3-2.

Clear Lake wouldn't go down easily and took Spring Valley into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 24-26, 24-26, 16-14.

Clear Lake's win bumped their record up to 29-8. As for Webster, their victory bumped their record up to 32-2.

Everything went Webster's way against Clear Lake in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Webster made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
