Volleyball Recap: Lotus School For Excellence Comes Up Short

Lotus School For Excellence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Walsenburg Panthers. If the Meteors were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Walsenburg scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20.

Lotus School For Excellence's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Walsenburg, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-12.

Looking ahead, Lotus School For Excellence will head out on the road to take on Mitchell at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Walsenburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Sierra on the 25th.
