There's no place like home for Novato, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Terra Linda Trojans on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Trojans back in March, they had to take a 17-7 defeat.

Claire Hannan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Allie Tubach was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Georgiana Castro, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Novato's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 6-14. As for Terra Linda, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Novato will take on Marin Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Terra Linda, they will head out on the road to take on Analy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
