Volleyball Recap: Santa Ynez Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Santa Ynez had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Righetti Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Santa Ynez was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-17.

Scarlett Ollenburger paced Santa Ynez's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ollenburger got some help from Nora Eliason and her 14 assists. Ollenburger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Santa Ynez's win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Ynez will head out to square off against Paso Robles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Righetti, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Atascadero at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
