Baseball Recap: Shepherd Comes Up Short

Shepherd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Livingston Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 11-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Shepherd's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Livingston, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12-2.

While Shepherd had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
