Basketball Recap: Normal West Wildcats vs. Pontiac Indians
Normal West hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against the Pontiac Indians by a score of 50-42 on Saturday. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 60-49 win the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.
Normal West can attribute much of their success to Maliq Givens-Smith, who posted 16 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Zaleski, who scored 12 points.
Normal West has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-15 record this season.
