Softball Game Preview: Armstrong Trojans vs. Seeger Patriots

The Armstrong Trojans will take on the Seeger Patriots at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Armstrong knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Seeger likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Armstrong made easy work of Iroquois West and carried off a 13-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won six in a row.

South Vermillion hit Seeger with a ten-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots lost 18-6 to the Wildcats.

Aubrey Spear made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Seeger's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Armstrong, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Armstrong might still be hurting after the 19-6 defeat they got from Seeger in their previous meeting back in May of 2021. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
