Beckman had won four straight games and Marina Babayani did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Patriots came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 19-15 W against the Tesoro Titans with plenty of help from Babayani, who threw for 200 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of her passes, and also rushed for 57 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. She has become a key player for Beckman: the team is undefeated when she posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-6 otherwise.

Although Tesoro took the loss, they still got scores from Frankie Mosh and Jenna Tuttle.

Beckman's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Tesoro, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Beckman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 32-25 win against Dana Hills on the 17th. As for Tesoro, they will venture away from home to challenge El Toro at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Titans 9.5, the Chargers 10.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
