Baseball Recap: La Mirada Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

La Mirada barely beat Downey the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Matadores were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Vikings on Wednesday. The Matadores might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.

Kevin Jeon was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Justin Torres, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

La Mirada has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Downey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.
