The Scott Beavers suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Southeast of Saline by a score of 49-47. Scott has struggled against Southeast of Saline recently, as their match on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Scott lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Rumford. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Rumford is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sage Stoecklein, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.

Gannon Jacobson was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six steals for Southeast of Saline. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jacobson has scored all season. Owen Bailey was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.

Scott has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Southeast of Saline, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
