Softball Recap: Brusly Beats Buckeye for Their Fourth Straight Win

Brusly entered their tilt with Buckeye on Friday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past Buckeye 11-1. That's two games straight that Brusly has won by exactly ten runs.

Emma Guarisco spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

On the hitting side, Brusly let Zoe Fabre and Brooklyn Monk run wild. Fabre scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4, while Monk scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Monk is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Emma Loupe was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Brusly pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Buckeye, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Brusly will head out on the road to take on West Ouachita at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Buckeye, they will venture away from home to square off against Jena at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
