Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Hope Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 95-20 takedown of St Johns Christian School on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions were outmatched by the Brunswick Christian Academy Eagles and fell 66-35. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in February.

Hope Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Timonere, who posted 16 points. The matchup was Timonere's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zenik Patrick, who scored six points and six boards.

Hope Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Brunswick Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
