Recap: Alief Elsik Rams vs. Alvin Yellowjackets
The Alief Elsik Rams won the last time they faced the Alvin Yellowjackets, and things went their way on Friday too. Alief Elsik enjoyed a cozy 59-40 win over Alvin. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Alief Elsik.
Alief Elsik got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ricky Wilson out in front who scored 14 points along with six assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of David Uwalaka, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, Alvin still got an impressive performance from Chukwuemeka Phillips, who scored seven points. Aydan Owens was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Alief Elsik's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-12. As for Alvin, their defeat was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 8-16.
Alief Elsik will head out on the road to challenge Alief Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alief Taylor is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Alvin, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Alief Hastings at 4:30 p.m. Alief Hastings has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
