Soccer Recap: Mccutcheon Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

McCutcheon hadn't done well against Zionsville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mavericks' defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 1-0 shutout. Eli Elliott had the honor of scoring the game-winner for McCutcheon.

McCutcheon has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two contests. As for Zionsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Coming up, McCutcheon will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against North Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Zionsville, they will host Fishers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
