Volleyball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

Wagner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Antonio Christian Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2017.

Wagner's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for San Antonio Christian, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Wagner will take on Alamo Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Thunderbirds' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for San Antonio Christian, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against SA Roosevelt on the 16th.
