Softball Recap: Seaman Comes Up Short

Seaman lost to Wamego on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 11-10. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lilly Rumsey stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Warren, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Seaman's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Wamego, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Seaman will be playing in front of their home fans against Washburn Rural at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wamego does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
