Volleyball Recap: West Holmes Knights vs. Lexington Minutemen
West Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Lexington Minutemen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-9.
Mallory Marmet paced West Holmes' offense, picking up seven kills. Marmet got some help from Lena Burgett and her six assists. Matilyn Fair controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Bella Temple went supernova For Lexington., getting five kills, five digs, four aces, and one block. That's the most kills Temple has posted since back in September of 2024.
West Holmes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lexington, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
