Baseball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern was the 10-2 winner over DeSales when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts on Wednesday. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Trevor Dugan was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carson Shee was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Eastern's record now sits at 18-11. As for DeSales, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-13 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will take on Central Hardin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for DeSales, they will square off against Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Colts are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
